GOING ON WARPED TOUR 2016

Going to be on this years Vans Warped Tour in San Diego on August 5th for Acentric Magazine. Excited to shoot a lot of the great bands they have lined up this year from the pit! Here is my current plan for the full day I'll be spending at warped of course things will change once I'm actually there but here is my vague run down on how to capture the full Warped Tour experience!

There's 7 stages at Warped that different bands play on all day. After using my knowledge of the bands & evaluating the Warped list that's been released with which bands are playing on which stages this year I figured that I would cover mostly main stream bands do to time variatiions. These more main stream bands will differ from both Journey stages all day so it's nice to mostly base ourselves there also it being convenient that they're close together. We'd start the day on the the Journeys left foot stage for 'Falling in Reverse'. Head over to the Journeys right foot stage for 'Issues' & 'Mayday Parade'. Then head to the left foot of the journeys stage for 'New found glory'. Back to the right foot for the rest of the bands - 'Real Friends', 'Sleeping with Sirens', 'State Champs', 'The Main', 'The Story So Far', & 'Tonight Alive'. In between sets I'd like to get shots of the other bands at other stages such as on the Monster north - Motionless In White, Poseidon stage - Knuckle Puck, Cyclops stage - Against the Current, or Monster north - Crown The Empire. The Journeys stage bands up above would mostly be priority but I plan to cover as much as I possibly can, to grasp the full experience of Warped from all different types of angles! Certain bands that may overlap I may be able to split with my partner & cover if needed to. Being aware of having to abide by the 3 song rule, after having to the clear the pit I'll join the crowd at the stage I'm currently at or go to cover another band. I'll be spending time in the press tent between bands sets that they have set to cover lots of behind the scenes action in my spare time. I plan on making great use of my time to cover as much as I can throughout the whole day. After some of the sets I'll interview some fans because the people that attend Warped can be quite the characters & just the best fans for interviewing. The Warped Tour experience will be taken in from a new point of view from someone who has a fresh set of eyes and mind to the tours experience. Learning to appreciate and enjoy pop punk by seeing the bands music live, by talking to fans/artists about there thoughts/experience through out the day, and being fully surrounded by that community for a while for the full experience.
